Hi Sabine

Puppy school went well. Kaylee is going to be great over the next 8 weeks of this course :) We learned some new things and cant wait to start applying them with her :) We didnt get to take pictures in this class because there were lots of things to do and questions to fill out and it was the introductory class so it was mostly listening :) We will take some and send them to you though. Classes will be every Tuesday at 8:00pm

At the same time I will have other pictures to send you as well. You will see that she got bigger too :)

Hi Sabine

How are you?

I wanted to send you a quick update to let you know how everything is going.

We moved this past weekend into our new home. It is fantastic and we are slowly getting unpacked and settled. Kaylee loves it too but she is happy to be where ever we are :) The house will need some work for a while but we will get there slowly but surely. The wonders of moving eh?

We are absolutely in love with our Kaylee girl. She is our baby. She is so affectionate and sweet! She sits and stays and lays down on command!! She even "waits" for her food until we tell her its ok to eat. She is so smart! We dont even need treats anymore to make her listen to those commands. We are now working on "come" and getting her to focus on us. She is so friendly and loves other animals and dogs that she is easily distracted but we are working on it and she is getting better. She doesnt have as many accidents in the house and she goes to the front and patio doors when she wants to go outside but every now and then with a lot of excitement or when the sense of urgency comes when she has been playing so long she has an accident in the house. She knows its not a good thing though because she will go lie down and look at you with sad "i'm sorry" eyes.
She is such a good snuggler and we love to cuddle with her and she loves it too. She really loves when I brush her and shows her belly a lot :) You would be so proud of her. WHat a beauty she is too. She is getting a little bigger and she is even cuter. She really does look a lot like her daddy though :) I will have to send you some new pictures once i get settled and unpack :)

Kaylee and I will be attending her first puppy class this evening :) We are both looking forward to it and I will let you know how that goes. I'm sure she will do well because she is so smart! We will also be going to the vet on Friday and I will update you on that as well. :)

I hope you are doing well. Will you or Meinolf be travelling this way anytime soon? I know you mentioned it was a possibility perhaps closer to April or May. Is that still in the works?

Dear Sabine,

I wanted to send you a note to tell you how well I am doing and how happy I am :) My new family is great and they take such good care of me! I get so many kisses and hugs and I am so loved already. Thank you for finding them for me.

I am learning to pee and poo outside, I still have accidents with my pee inside and I know my mommy and daddy dont like it and I promise I will try and get better for them and I am getting better every day! I'm a good girl though and I never poo inside the house, never!

I am learning to sit and stay really well. I really like people though so when there are lots of people around I kind of get distracted but mom and dad had a friend over, her name is Mel, and she brought these yummy yummy treats that I cant resist and mom and dad have been using them to train me and it really keeps me focussed because i really want to get my paws on those yummy things!!!

It's really cool here but I think mom and dad are moving soon because there are lots of boxes everywhere. I am sure my new house will be even better. For now in this house I get to play outside in the backyard a lot! It's great. One of my favorite things to do is eat the snow and bring my toys outside. I really like to share my toys too :) I have a really fun new friend (she is the one I like to share with), her name is Bella and she is a basset hound. She lives right next door and we play and run up and down the fence line with each other for hours, it makes me really tired. Bella is really nice. Sometimes when I am inside I can hear her barking for me to come out and play but I get really comfy on my bed that mom and dad got for me. Its such a comfortable bed that once i am asleep I dont want to move. Its especially comfortable lying on my back :) I also really like sleeping near the patio door where its cool. I squish myself between the boxes and the door and I can stay there for hours too!

Oh and I cant forget my walks! My favorite are my walks with dad before bed because he runs with me, thats just fantastic and helps me to sleep really well at night. I do get really excited on my walks but I am learning to walk next to mom and dad and be a good girl and sit and stay before we cross streets.

I'm a strong girl too and I like to show everyone how tough I am by playing tug! They all think they can win but they cant....
ha-ha they should just wait until I am bigger! There is this really cool rope toy with balls on it and I growl when i pull to show them how strong i am...for some reason though they laugh and say how cute i am ...i dont get it? I am trying to be tough and they laugh! Oh well....as long as I get the rope at the end is all that matters :)

I really like when my mom brushes me and makes me look pretty, especially because I get so many visitors! I love all of the visits because I just love all of the attention. Did I mention I love attention? A lot of mom and dads friends and family have come over or we have gone to visit them. They all cuddle and play with me and its so great. Did i mention how much I love to cuddle and play too? I smile a lot because of all the love. Like yesterday we went on a long car ride to a different city and met my grandma, grandpa, aunt and uncle from my moms side and they even had a dog, his name was Cooper! He is a little big for me to play with right now but he seems playful and maybe we can play when I am bigger! And today my grandma and grandpa from my dads side were visiting from Pennsylvania and they came to see me.

I miss my mommy Ayla, Daddy Magnum and you guys too and I hope to see you again one day soon! I hope you will come visit sometimes :)

I will update you again soon, I need to go play outside now since its almost bed time.

Hello Sabine

A very Happy Valentines day from Janet, Nathanael & Kaylee :) I hope you are showered with love today and always. XO

Its 1 week today that we brought Kaylee home and she is so wonderful. Everyone that has met her so far is amazed at her calm and beautiful energy & spirit. We still are too! She has her puppy moments but overall she is so sweet and adorable!

She is learning to sit very well, sometimes she is stubborn but she knows the command ;) We are working on her "stay" since she is curious she is easily distracted but it helps that she knows her name very well now :)
The house breaking has been a "Fun" one for us ha-ha Kaylee doesnt give us any signs AT ALL when she needs to pee, only when she needs to poo so she still has an accident or two during the day in the house for her pee but overall I think she is getting it. She goes to the patio door most of the time when she wants to go outside but sometimes its just because she wants to play outside in the snow or play through the fence with Bella the basset hound next door ;) She sleeps wonderfully at night but like clock work she is ready to be let out without question by around 6:20 am :) She also knows her schedule for food and knows her bowls when she see's them! So after only one week we think this is great progress :)

She has a favorite toy that she likes to carry around in her mouth (actually she has more then one favorite but she leans for this one the most) it's a pink mouse and its actually one of the cats toys ha-ha So much for buying her new toys eh? I could have just used the ones I had! She even likes to bring the mouse and some of her toys outside with her. Its so cute!

BUT Kaylee's favorite thing to do is CUDDLE! She is my little snuggle-bug :) She will stay in your arms without a struggle or a peep for hours if you want her to....its the best!

I can't express to you how much we love her! And everyone that meets her loves her. We have had to put a schedule for her to meet people because people that see her pictures and hear about her are lining up to meet this sweet girl!

We are leaving in an hour for a 2 hour ride with Kaylee in the car. She is going to meet my parents and sister (her grandpy, grandma, and auntie) in Montreal for the first time (she does fantastic in the car as well by the way)

I will send pictures later since I want to take some today in Montreal I havent taken my pictures off the camera yet!!

Day 1 :-)

Hi Sabine

We are very much in love with our Kaylee girl!! What a sweetheart. We are amazed every second at how loveable she is. She snuggles in our necks and is happy to stay there! She also loves her walks and to play in the snow :)

Our first evening was a little sleepless because our Kaylee really did not want to be in her crate. Even with complete darkness and not a sound she whined quite a bit but we figured with the anxiety of being away from what she knows as home it would and will be a rough couple of nights...she will come around :) Other then her sleepless night she is adapting quite well and loves us and we love her very much :)

Hi Sabine

Kaylee is so wonderful, there are no words to properly describe what a fantastic puppy she is. It has only been a few hours and she is right at home. Her personality and character are incredible...of course that comes from a good mom and dad and a great breeder ;)

When she arrived to us at Air Cargo, Kaylee did not whine in her crate, she was comforatble and was only pawing at us to let her out. I got her to sit while i put on her leash and collar and took her for a little walk. We cuddled shortly after in the car where it was warm and Kaylee was very comfortable in my arms right away. At first she was a little unsure but soon after was smiling and drawn to me. (you will see the pictures :)...) We took her for another short walk when we got out of the car at home and she pee'd :) As soon as we got in the house she smelt around but mostly just wanted to be with us. :) We fed her some yummy dinner and she was very happy to eat. We introduced her to the cats and her bed and some toys and took lots of pictures :) I could tell she was used to the camera :) I sat on the couch and she wanted to cuddle with me and so we did. (We are cuddlin now too, she does not leave my side!) Not long ago she had some more water to drink so we took her for a walk and played outside for a while. So far she is having lots of fun but mostly loves to cuddle with us. :) Which we love very much. She has the most beautiful eyes and engaging and warm smile!!!

As you can see from the pictures and the above paragraph Kaylee is doing fantastic and is becoming a part of our family very quickly. The cats are not really sure what is happening but they dont mind too much and they will come around to play with Kaylee soon I'm sure :) Kaylee already wants to play with them :)

We are so very happy Sabine and its still like a dream to us. We are very grateful to have her a part of our lives and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I will keep you updated but you are welcome to write or call whenever you'd like. I am going to read through the paper work you sent and then we can touch base again during the week to review.
